Facts and practical information

Wildpark-MV is the year-round zoo of Güstrow in Mecklenburg with mostly native wild animals. Located to the east of the city and south of the Nebel River, it is nestled in 200 acres of parkland. It was established in 1959 as one of the numerous small native animal gardens of the German Democratic Republic. After the German reunification it was considerably extended and redesigned according to a completely new concept. The wildlife park was an outdoor location for the International Horticultural Exhibition in 2003.
