Piazza del Mercato is a square in Brescia, located southwest of Piazza della Vittoria along Corso Palestro, at the north end of Via Antonio Gramsci. Formed beginning in the fifteenth century, it underwent numerous additions and modifications, especially in the buildings facing its sides, until the first half of the twentieth century.
This has resulted in a considerable typological and chronological variety of buildings bordering the square and its monuments, with evidence from the 15th century, 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, 19th century and 20th century.
