The Museo dei Campionissimi is a museum in Novi Ligure dedicated to cycling and in particular to cyclists Fausto Coppi and Costante Girardengo, who lived most of their lives in the Piedmontese city. Opened on April 30, 2003, it is located in a 3,000 sq. m. disused warehouse formerly belonging to ILVA. The museum is divided as follows: Central track: dedicated to the evolution of the bicycle, from the first models to today. Hall of the Campionissimi: dedicated to Fausto Coppi and Costante Girardengo, with memorabilia, unpublished testimonies and pages of the Gazzetta dello Sport with their victories. Two mega-screens where period films or sound clips about cycling and in particular about Fausto Coppi and Costante Girardengo are projected. Video game laboratory: different environments are created in a computerized real bicycle, Art laboratory: dedicated to different artists who create installations on the theme of cycling, bicycles and bicycle forms. Themed exhibition room: a room dedicated to different exhibitions, which has hosted in the past works by Giorgio de Chirico, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Roberto Baldessari, Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Felice Carena, Mauro Chessa, Giacomo Grosso, Renato Guttuso, Mosè Bianchi, Franco Piri Focardi, Mario Sironi, Antonio Visintin, Giuseppe Cominetti, and Carlo Bergoglio.
