Facts and practical information
The Fieschi Castle was a military and defensive building in Varese Ligure, in the province of La Spezia, located in Piazza Castello. Built by the Fieschi counts in the Middle Ages, the castle went to complete that new urbanistic work initiated by the Fliscan feudal lords in the center of Varese and which was called "Borgo Rotondo," because of its elliptical shape, a sort of "fortified citadel."
