The Civic Museum of Oriental Art is located at 1 San Sebastiano Street, in the Palazzetto dei Leo, near the Old Town of Trieste.
In the museum there are not only collections and art objects but also travel memories and mementos, weapons, tools and other objects from all over Asia, and mostly from China, Japan and Gandhara.
It was inaugurated on March 8, 2001.
The museum tour is structured as follows: 1st floor: "Trieste and the East" section and Gandhara section; 2nd floor: China section; 3rd and 4th floors: Japan section.
