Facts and practical information
The Piazzale della Vittoria is a large area, built during the 20-year Fascist period, that stands in Forli, immediately outside what was called Porta Cotogni, one of the city gates, which no longer exists. It was so named after the mighty World War I war memorial that has dominated the area since 1932 was erected. The monument was designed by Roman architect Cesare Bazzani, who won a national competition to win the work on the monument.
