Museo Risorgimento - Casa Mazzini, Genoa
Facts and practical information
The Museo del Risorgimento - Istituto Mazzianiano is a museum center in Genoa, established in 1934, entirely dedicated to the events of the Italian Risorgimento and, in particular, to some prominent figures of that specific moment in Italian history closely linked to the Ligurian capital, such as Giuseppe Mazzini, Giuseppe Garibaldi and Goffredo Mameli, author of the Canto degli Italiani, the Italian national anthem.
Located at 11 Via Lomellini, it is housed in the former Palazzo Adorno, in what was Mazzini's birthplace; it was restored in 2005 and reopened to the public to coincide with the bicentennial of the great thinker's birth.
