The Fiume Ciane e Saline di Siracusa Oriented Nature Reserve is a protected natural area established by the Region of Sicily that includes the course of the Ciane River and the Saline wetlands on the southern outskirts of the city of Syracuse. The reserve is managed by the province of the same name.
The reserve was established by a decree of the Sicilian Region's Territory Environment Department in 1984, and is oriented toward the preservation of papyrus along the course of the Ciane River and the conservation of the "Saline" environment.
