Todi's civic museum is located in Piazza del Popolo, on the top floors of the Palazzo del Capitano and the Palazzo del Popolo.
The museum summarizes the history of the town of Tudertine by displaying and cataloging objects found in and around the town, including a marble slab dated 10th-11th centuries with the effigy of St. Fortunato, Christ the Redeemer and St. Cassiano, a wooden model depicting the Temple of Consolation dating back to 1571 and attributed to Ventura Vitoni, as well as Anita Garibaldi's saddle
The museum was renovated and reopened in 1997.
