The church of Santa Maria di Ronzano stands isolated above a hill in the Mavone valley, in the locality of Ronzano, in the Abruzzo municipality of Castel Castagna, in the province of Teramo. The building belonged to the abbey monastic complex of the Benedictine order, which also had a convent here, now disappeared, and was included in the list of Italian National Monuments in 1902. The abbey is included in a religious tourist itinerary called "Valley of the Abbeys."
