The "Fraterna fountain" is a public fountain in the city of Isernia, of which it is considered a symbol.
Listed by the Treccani Encyclopedia as one of the most beautiful in Italy, with six water jets, unusual lodge-like shapes, made of compact limestone blocks from various eras, it is one of the most significant and important works in the Pentro municipality.
It formerly stood in Fraterna Square, opposite the Church of the Conception, but after the Allied bombing in 1943 it was moved to Celestine V Square, in the heart of the city's historic center.
