Facts and practical information
The Diocesan Museum of Parma was inaugurated in March 2003, at the end of a lengthy restoration involving the Bishop's Palace, in whose basement the exhibition itinerary now finds space. Archaeological finds and works of art from the cathedral, the baptistery and the diocesan territory were thus accommodated.
During restoration for the arrangement of the Bishop's Palace and Museum, the remains of the foundations of a medieval building and a section of the Roman wall emerged.
