The Valle Sabbia Archaeological Museum was founded in 1956 by the Gavardo Cave Group Museum Association. Later, it was transferred to the municipality: since 2004 it has been constituted as the Gavardo Museum Institution, a functional entity of the Municipality of Gavardo. It offers visitors the constantly evolving picture of our knowledge concerning the Prehistory and History of the human communities of the Valle Sabbia, including also some neighboring realities. Through its rooms one can trace the history of man, his material culture and his economic and settlement strategies in the territory from the Middle Paleolithic to post-Renaissance times. It adheres to the MaNet network, which has been operating since 2004.
