Facts and practical information
The Church of the Salute is a house of worship in Turin, located at 26 Via Vibò, built between 1895 and 1950. Its importance is linked to the memory of the siege of Turin in 1706, its dedication to Mary with the title of the health of the homeland and the sick, and because it holds the mortal remains of Saint Leonard Murialdo inside.
The grandeur of the building and the height of the dome make the building particularly important and visible from different parts of the city of Turin. Lately, the building's exterior lighting makes it even more identifiable in the city skyline.
