Chiesa di Sant'Ilario, Ascoli Piceno
Facts and practical information
The church of St. Hilary of Ascoli Piceno, currently deconsecrated, stands opposite the small temple of St. Emidio alle Grotte in the Campo Parignano neighborhood.
It is a small travertine building with a rectangular base, which no longer retained the appearance of a medieval church, but rather of a civilian dwelling, as a result of the tampering over time. It is recalled that for a time it was used as an animal shelter.
As of 2018, it is home to the Emygdius museum, the museum dedicated to the patron saint of the city of Ascoli, St. Emidio.
