The "Francesco Saverio Mercadante" municipal theater is the main theater facility in the city of Cerignola; built to the design of architect Leopoldo Vaccaro, it was inaugurated in 1868. In its present configuration it has two loggioni, which replaced the original three tiers of boxes after two renovations of the building.
