Mater Salvatoris Mother Church is a church in Bivona, an Italian town in the province of Agrigento in Sicily.
Dating back to the 16th century, it is located in Damaso Pio De Bono Square in the central part of the town.
It was built by the Jesuit fathers at the end of the 16th century, when they sold their first college and the attached church to the Poor Clare nuns and settled further upstream. In the seventeenth century it was greatly enlarged, and on April 6, 1781, after the expulsion of the Jesuits from Sicily, it was dedicated to Our Lady and elevated to the status of the new mother church of Bivona.
The church, whose portal features architectural styles typical of the late Renaissance, and has a sacristy, anti-sacristy and bell tower.
The interior is Baroque in layout, with a single nave and seven side chapels. The decorations with friezes and stucco has parts in pure gold, which contrasts with the whiteness of the walls.
Inside it preserves works of art, most of which come from the other ancient churches, some tombstones, including the tombstone to the eighth bishop of Caltagirone, the Bivonese Damaso Pio De Bono, a wooden pulpit and the chancel over the entrance supported by two central columns.
