Facts and practical information
The Rocca di Trequanda, also known as Cacciaconti Castle, is an imposing building built in the Middle Ages as the seat of the Vicar to the Republic of Siena, of which the municipality was a part.
The castle passed from the Berardenghi dynasty, already before the year 1000, to the Cacciaconti. From the latter, it then passed to Musciatto Franzesi, to the Commune of Siena, and to Bartolotto dei Tolomei.
