The church of San Romualdo is located in the historic center of Ravenna, at the intersection of Via Alfredo Baccarini and Via Nicolò Rondinelli; closed to worship but not deconsecrated, it falls within the territory of the parish of Sant'Agata Maggiore, of the archdiocese of Ravenna-Cervia, but is municipal property.
Since 1935 the church has been a shrine to those who fell in war and in captivity and, from 1997 to 2019, it housed the Museum of the Risorgimento, containing memorabilia and personal mementos, in the possession of Ravenna residents, of those who participated in the revolutionary uprisings of the first half of the 19th century, the wars of Italian independence, and Garibaldi's exploits.
