Piani di Bobbio is a ski resort in Valsassina, in the province of Lecco. In the early Middle Ages the land was owned by the Abbey of San Colombano di Bobbio, which used it for summer pasture for its livestock, hence the current name.
Located in the municipality of Barzio, they are on the border with the province of Bergamo; in fact, the Piani di Bobbio and Valtorta ski slopes are part of a single ski area. The area is also renowned for its many trails, which include via ferrata routes on the Campelli Group. The Sanctuary of the Queen of the Mountains and Cable Cars is also located here.
