The hermitage of Monte Giove forms the highest summit of the series of hills surrounding the city of Fano, standing 223 meters above sea level. From the top of the hill it is possible to observe the city along the coastal strip and, going up the Metauro valley, toward the Apennine chain dominated by Mount Catria.
