Castel Malgolo is one of the many castles of Anaunia, located in the hamlet of the same name of Malgolo in the municipality of Romeno in Trentino-Alto Adige. A private residence, admirable only in its picturesque exterior setting, Castel Malgolo stands along the state road that connects the town of Romeno to the hamlet of Malgolo of the same name. Framed by lush surrounding vegetation, the castle is especially striking for its dual nature as a medieval fortress on the one hand and an elegant romantic residence on the other.
