The Mother of Grace Shrine of Mentorella is one of the oldest Marian shrines in Italy and Europe.
It rises at an altitude of 1018 meters above sea level on a jutting cliff on the eastern slope of Mount Guadagnolo that drops almost sheer to the Giovenzano Valley below, between Tivoli and Palestrina, southeast of Rome. It belongs to the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, and is guarded by the Congregation of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
