Rabbit Island

Isola dei Conigli is an Italian island belonging to the Pelagie Islands archipelago in Sicily. The 4.4-hectare islet, a protected nature reserve, is located within a bay elected by TripAdvisor users, as part of the Travellers' Choice Awards, the most beautiful beach in the world in 2013, the most beautiful beach in Europe in 2014, 2015 and 2019.

The islet is very little from the coast, so much so that it has also rarely been joined to it via an impromptu 30-meter-long sandy isthmus. This is a rare occurrence, due to the advancing swell and low tide, but it is still usually possible to stop in that area of the bay without ever fully submerging into the water, as the depth varies from 30 to 150 cm.
