The Roman amphitheater of Ancona, located between the Guasco and Cappuccini hills, constitutes, after the Arch of Trajan, the most important Roman architectural work in the city. The excavation is almost complete in the southern sector, where a long section of the surrounding wall, the main entrance and some spectator entrances are visible.
