Castello di Miradolo
Facts and practical information
Miradòlo Castle is a historic building in San Secondo di Pinerolo, located in Miradolo and belonged to the lineage of the Counts Cacherano di Bricherasio, an extinct family of the ancient Piedmontese nobility distinguished for military honors, which boasted the title of viceroy of the Savoy for some of its members but also distinguished itself for appreciable philanthropic and patronage activities.
Despite its name, the building is not really a castle but rather a country mansion, albeit characterized by neo-Gothic stylistic features that recall elements of a traditional medieval castle.
Since 2008, it has been home to the Cosso Foundation, which manages its renovated spaces, producing cultural events of importance to the area.
