The bastion of Malta is a tower located in the territory of the municipality of Lamezia Terme, near Gizzeria Lido. It differs from most of the coastal towers dotting the coasts of the Mezzogiorno, formerly the Kingdom of Naples or Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, in that the thickness of the walls is a few meters, making it suitable for defense against gun attacks.
