Facts and practical information

The Guascone Tower is a tower located on the outer side of the northeastern bank of the perimeter of the Montepescali Walls, in the municipal territory of Grosseto. It was named after Bastiano Guascone, commander of the militia stationed at the tower during the 1555 siege of Montepescali, which pitted Sienese and Florentine troops against each other for control of the village.
