The protected natural area of local interest Stagni di Focognano is a large wetland located in the municipality of Campi Bisenzio, elevated to protected natural area in 1997. The park covers 65 hectares, 35 of which are owned by the municipal administration and the remainder by private individuals, but subject to a park restriction; the entire area, with related facilities, is entrusted to WWF Italy for management.
