the church of San Giovanni di Casarsa is the cathedral of San Giovanni di Casarsa, in the province of Pordenone and diocese of Concordia-Pordenone; it is part of the forania of San Vito al Tagliamento and is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
"The cathedral rises with its imposing and majestic bulk in the center of the town; it is inserted, forming a harmonious and evocative whole, with the pre-existing buildings that stand in Victory Square. To the south one can admire the 14th-century Loggia Comunale, to the east is the rectory built at the behest of Bishop Mons. Casola in 1869, to the northeast stands the imposing bell tower erected by Monsignor Francesco Franchi between 1878 and 1882, and to the north are the buildings of medieval origin that constituted the Corte Zuccheri, which has now become after adequate work of recovery and restoration, the parish center."
