Oratorio di San Valentino, Costabissara
Facts and practical information
The Oratory of Saint Valentine is a small church located in the village of the same name on Via Roma in Costabissara in the province of Vicenza.
Built in 1684 by the Repeta counts, it passed to the Sassatelli counts then to the Serbelloni lords in the 19th century, who bequeathed it to the Vicenza Civic Hospital, from which the Counts bought it. It now belongs to the Toniolo family.
In the early twentieth century it became subordinate to the village parish of St. George, though it retained the officiating of the feast of St. Valentine and the singing of the Oremus of the saint during the procession on the third day of the rogazioni.
