Facts and practical information
The Vibrata Tower is one of the ancient coastal towers of the Kingdom of Naples; it is located on the Adriatic coast, in the province of Teramo, near the mouth of the Vibrata stream, in the municipality of Alba Adriatica, whose urban fabric has developed by encompassing the ancient artifact without proper development.
It overlooks the modern layout of Via Cavour.
It is a massive square brick keep; at the base the outer side measures 10 meters. The walls have decreasing thickness and thus are inclined in the shape of a pyramid, each is crowned by four strong corbels and three machicolations; they were probably originally topped with Guelph battlements.
