The Wolfsoniana is a modern art gallery that is part of the museum pole of the Genoese Levant, located at 4 Serra Gropallo Street in the Nervi district, it counts hundreds of works of art in its permanent exhibition, and hosts numerous temporary exhibitions every year. The museum was opened to the public in 1999 and included in the "Nervi Museums and Parks Pole" at the behest of its founder Mitchell Wolfson Jr.
The City of Genoa then provided a building and the professional expertise necessary for its restoration and re-functionalization, contributions for the work came from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Genova e Imperia, and additional funding from the Region of Liguria enabled the structural and technical work necessary for the Wolfsoniana's museum display, which opened on December 17, 2005. In 2007 Micky Wolfson donated the collection to the Colombo Foundation, which was transformed into the Regional Foundation for Culture and Entertainment in 2008.
