Tor Caldara

Tor di Caldano, also known as Tor della Caldane or Torre Caldara, is a coastal tower near Lavinio Lido di Enea in the municipality of Anzio, Rome province. It is included in the 44-hectare area forming part of the Tor Caldara Regional Nature Reserve, established by Regional Law No. 50 of August 26, 1988.
Pursuant to Decree 25/3/2005, published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic No. 157 of July 8, 2005, and prepared by the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea in accordance with the EEC Directive, the area of sulfur flats and ditches is considered a site of community interest.
