Ducezio Palace is located in Noto and is the seat of the town hall, the name is in honor of Ducezio, founder of the city.
It was designed by Netino Vincenzo Sinatra in 1746, inspired by some 17th-century French palaces, but was not completed until 1830, and the second floor was built in the first half of the 20th century by architect Francesco La Grassa.
The convex facade features twenty arches supported by columns with Ionic capitals in the lower section, and thirteen rectangular windows in the upper section. Inside, the Hall of Mirrors is noteworthy, an ovoid hall furnished with Louis XV-style furniture and large mirrors sculpted by the Avolese Sebastiano Dugo. In the vault of the hall stands La Fondazione di Neas, a neoclassical fresco by painter Antonio Mazza depicting the founding of Noto by the Sicilian leader Ducezio.
