Facts and practical information
The Cistercian Abbey of San Martino al Cimino is an Italian Catholic place of worship in Viterbo. It stands in the town hamlet of the same name in San Martino al Cimino and was built in the 13th century on the initiative of Cistercian monks from the primitive abbey of Pontigny, but was closed in 1564.
The church regained its abbey title in the 17th century, but the monks did not return to it. Its present status is that of a parish church under the diocese of Viterbo.
