Galleria Parmeggiani, Reggio Emilia
Facts and practical information
The Anna and Luigi Parmeggiani Gallery is a museum in Reggio Emilia that contains a collection of furniture, paintings, and textiles, a union of three different collections, collected in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by the eclectic Luigi Parmeggiani and preserved in the imaginative Gothic-Renaissance, French-Spanish style building Parmeggiani had specially built in 1924 to contain his art gallery.
Currently the Parmeggiani Gallery is part of the Reggio Emilia Civic Museums circuit, and can be interpreted as an example of a nineteenth-century house-museum.
