The cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is the main place of worship in the city of Montagnana, Veneto.
The church, in late Gothic style with Renaissance-style additions, was built between 1431 and 1502 at the behest of the bishop of Padua and the Montagnanese community. No precise information is available on the first architect, but certain is the involvement of the architect Lorenzo da Bologna in the final phase of the work.
