Hanover-Mitte
Mitte is the first borough of Hanover. As of 2020, it has 36,645 inhabitants and consists of the quarters Mitte, Calenberger Neustadt, Oststadt and Zoo. The district mayor is Cornelia Kupsch.
Herrenhausen-Stöcken
Herrenhausen-Stöcken is a borough of the German city of Hanover, northwest of the city centre. In 2020 it had a population of 37,543. It consists of the quarters Burg, Herrenhausen, Ledeburg, Leinhausen, Marienwerder and Stöcken. Industries include Johnson Controls and Herrenhäuser Brewery founded in 1868.
Kirchrode-Bemerode-Wülferode
Kirchrode-Bemerode-Wülferode is the sixth borough of Hanover. As of 2020, it has 32,625 inhabitants and consists of the quarters Kirchrode, Bemerode and Wülferode. Since 2011, the SPD politician Bernd Rödel is mayor of the borough.
Hannover-Nordstadt
The Nordstadt is the university quarter in the German city of Hanover. Part of the borough Hanover-Nord, it has 17,684 inhabitants. It was originally characterized by small factories and a big railway freightyard closed in 1996. During World War II large parts of the district were destroyed.
Linden-Limmer
Linden-Limmer is a borough of Hanover. It became part of the city in 1920. Linden-Limmer is where Hannah Arendt was born. It has 44,941 inhabitants and consists of the quarters of Linden-Mitte, Linden-Nord, Linden-Süd and Limmer.
Vahrenwald-List
Vahrenwald-List is the second district of Hanover. With 71,173 inhabitants, it is the most populous district of the city consisting of the quarters Vahrenwald and List. Since 2011, the SPD politician Irma Walkling-Stehmann holds the district mayor office.
Engelbostel
Engelbostel is a district of the city of Langenhagen in the Hanover region. It was independent until 1974 when the village was incorporated into Langenhagen. The town is located southwest of the Hannover-Langenhagen airport.

Ricklingen is a borough and a quarter of Hanover, in Lower Saxony, and in Germany. The borough Ricklingen consists of the quarters Bornum, Mühlenberg, Oberricklingen, Ricklingen and Wettbergen.
Warmbüchenviertel
Warmbüchenviertel is an area in the quarter and borough of Mitte in Hanover. The quarter is characterised by insurance companies and other office buildings, but is also an inner city residential area.
Hannover-Zoo
Hannover-Zoo is a quarter of the city of Hanover. It is named after the Hanover zoological gardens. Part of the borough Hanover-Mitte, it has 4,952 inhabitants.
