Facts and practical information

Halle Zoo, also known as Halle Mountain Zoo, was established in 1901 on the 130-meter-high Reilsberg in the north of Halle in the Giebichenstein district. With nine hectares of total area, it is one of the smaller zoos. However, due to its construction in several levels around the mountain, the grounds appear much larger than they actually are.
