Fischbacherberg, Siegen
Facts and practical information
The Fischbacherberg is a 371.2 m high mountain in the urban area of Siegen in North Rhine-Westphalia. The mountain is located about 2 to 2.5 km west of the city center on the Siegberg.
The top of the Fischbacherberg is undeveloped. The southern and eastern slopes largely support a residential area, next to which on the eastern slope is the Vocational College for Business and Administration below the forest line. On the hillside in the valley is the Siegen Vocational College for Technology as well as a parking garage and a bus turnaround area. Below the mountain, the Hüttental road passes, partly through the Ziegenberg tunnel through the mountain itself. On the southern slope of the Fischbacherberg is the Emmy Noether Campus of the University of Siegen.
Between the mountain and the neighboring 346 m high Wellersberg, the L562 or Freudenberger Straße passes by, connecting Freudenberg with Siegen.
On the mountain there were the mines Ausdauer, Hohe Aussicht, Friedericke and Philippsfreude.
