Tivoli Eissporthalle, Aachen
Facts and practical information
The 100'5 ARENA at the Soers Sports Park in Aachen was opened in 1982. It is the home venue of the Aachener EC 2013, as well as the figure skating club Aachen.
Every year, the ice sports hall hosts the Unicup, an ice hockey tournament organized by the RWTH Aachen University Sports Center. In addition, ice skating, ice disco, figure skating, ice dancing and much more is offered from October to the end of March.
During the ice-free period from April to September, the radio station 100'5 Das Hitradio, which acquired the naming rights to the ice rink in June 2016, increasingly holds its events there, such as the Öcher Wiesn. In addition, inline field hockey, trade fair events, flea markets, concerts and boxing matches continue to take place. External companies can also plan events in the 100'5 Arena by arrangement with regioMEDIEN AG, the marketer of 100'5 Das Hitradio.
In addition to the ice rink, the complex also includes squash halls.
In December 2020, a COVID-19 vaccination center of the Aachen city region was established here.
