The Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art of San Miniato, opened in 1966, by San Miniato painter Dilvo Lotti, in the spaces of the former sacristy, adjacent to the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and San Genesio.
The museum layout was reorganized in 2000 with the aim of enhancing the history of the city and its territory.
