The Fortress of Frederick II is a tower built in the 13th century in San Miniato. It was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt philologically in 1958. Having become a symbol of the city, the new tower is slightly trapezoidal in plan, 37 meters high and dominating the Valdarno section from a 192 m.a.s.l. hill.
