The church of San Michele is the parish church of Monzambano, in the province and diocese of Mantua; it is part of the vicariate of San Luigi.
It is one of the buildings that, together with the medieval castle, characterizes the small village of about 5,000 inhabitants located on a hillside rise at the foot of the river. The majestic church dominates the valley, and from it it is possible to admire the valley below, one of the protected areas of the Mincio Regional Park established by Regional Law No. 47 of September 8, 1984. The church is dedicated to Archangel Michael, protector in battles, plagues, a saint who helps in river crossings and remembered for defending faith in God against Satan.
