Facts and practical information
The Scaliger Castle of Valeggio sul Mincio is a castle of medieval origin located along the banks of the Mincio River in the town of Valeggio sul Mincio.
Positioned on the top of a hill, from which it dominates the entire Mincio valley, the Scaliger castle was built starting in the 13th century by the Scaligeri, and in the following centuries it underwent numerous reconstructions, which, however, did not alter its medieval appearance.
