Barile is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. It is bounded by the comuni, of Ginestra, Rapolla, Rionero in Vulture, Ripacandida, and Venosa. The town is an ancient Arbëreshë settlement, and the population still maintains strong links with that culture. The noun, barile, means "barrel" in Italian. ()
