The church of Saint Miro is a church in the municipality of Sorico in the province of Como. It is also referred to as a shrine because inside, the remains of Saint Miro are preserved under the high altar. The building stands at an elevation of 319 meters above sea level on the hillock of San Michele and can only be reached on foot by walking along an ancient mule track that branches off the Antica Via Regina. The path up to the church, now immersed in locust forest but once totally lined with vineyards, features the Torre Nuova, the cave where according to tradition St. Miro died and the spring dedicated to him, also known as Gesiolo. The shrine is the second church of the parish of Santo Stefano in Sorico.
