The Museum of the Nineteenth Century is located in the Palazzo Massari in Ferrara.
Set up on the main floor, it is divided into several rooms with paintings, sculptures and period furnishings.
The first rooms are devoted to religious, literary and historical subjects. Other rooms house portraits of the Massari family, works by Giovanni Pagliarini, Gaetano Previati, Giuseppe Mentessi and Alberto Pisa.
Since 2012, the museum has been closed for restoration work.
