The monumental complex of San Silvestro in Vicenza is what remains of the Benedictine monastery built probably in the 8th century and now completely renovated, consisting of the three-aisled church with semicircular apses and the monastic area, used in recent times as a university residence, now abandoned due to subsidence and cracking of several areas of the building as a result of the Emilia earthquake in 2012.
